11 Dec Steve attends reception at the House of Lords
In November, Steve was invited to the All-Party Parliamentary Gardening and Horticulture Group at the UK House of Lords.
Steve previously represented the Arboricultural Association when the Ornamental and Horticultural Round-table group was formed, with the aim of not only recognising the importance of these industries, but also to try and address the succession crisis across the land-based sector.
The culmination of this work was the ‘Unlocking Green Growth’ Action Plan.
The event was held to highlight the importance of these industries to the UK economy and social well-being, with recognition to key industry organisations and individuals. While Steve is no longer a Trustee of the Arboricultural Association, it was an honour to be invited, along with current Trustees.
There is a positive outlook for the future for the industry, but acknowledgement that there is still much to do!
