27 Feb Case Study: Educational Development in Oxford
Planning consent has been granted for the redevelopment of Christ Church College’s Faculty of Music to provide graduate accommodation.
This was a complex project with the site located within the heart of Oxford, within a conservation area and a Grade I listed Park & Garden, with trees throughout the site. We were involved from early feasibility assessments and helped guide the design team on minimising tree loss and necessary measures to protect high-quality specimens along the site boundaries.
Following concerns regarding the location of the proposed cycle store and new pathway in relation to the RPA of trees to be retained, we worked closely with the tree officer to resolve these issues and the objections were subsequently dropped.
If you need assistance on any schemes where trees may need to be considered, get in touch (info@treefrontiers.com).
