To undertake a tree condition surveyto ensure the safety of staff and members of the public during the festival duration
Wilderness Festival is held within the historic grounds of Cornbury Park. While this setting provides an idyllic and apt backdrop for the festival, the nature of the Park (with a vast quantity of mature to ancient trees) posed significant constraints in achieving a festival design that was cognisant of the environmental assets and ensuring safety of staff and members of the public.
We worked closely with the festival team to identify trees with defects and recommended remedial tree works. Where this was not possible or appropriate, due to the status of the trees (i.e. ancient or veteran specimens) we offered alternative solutions to minimise the potential risk to festival goers.
